Jogathon Kickoff was Monday September 15
We’re excited to host the 9-day Boosterthon Fun Run/Carnival as this year’s fall fundraiser. We kicked off the NEW, fun, healthy, and character-building program in an ALL STUDENT assembly at 2:20pm on September 15.
Students learned five ways to make their community rock with Boosterthon’s character theme Rock’n Town Live, a music festival theme all about community. Each student
received a pledge book with instructions on how to login and start the process.
Along the way, students will gather pledges for how many laps they’ll run at the Boosterthon Fun Run/Carnival event, which is all day on Thursday September 25. Your family is invited to come out and cheer on your student and enjoy the Carnival! In case you haven’t heard, the carnival will be open to ALL STUDENTS and ALL PARENTS. Please help our school by connecting your student with sponsors. WE NEED LOTS OF VOLUNTEERS. Thank you for your support!
73 Juniors and Seniors Attend Annual Retreat
We had another great retreat. The juniors and seniors are some great young adults that showed they are maturing in their faith. They showed a lot of love for each other and continued to build new relationships. Several shared of the lessons they learned on the challenge courses and how they tied into their faith. Pastor Rob Mansfield did an amazing job of presenting leadership from Jesus’ example.
Pastor Mansfield’s message was themed “God’s Team.” He began the series of talks by reminding us that we were called by God to do His work, and there is nothing else like living our lives for Him! We don’t have to have our lives “all together” because He will equip us. Even though there is a cost, the blessings are worth the sacrifice!
Next he spoke to us about who we are: the example of Christ. We are to live a life worth following. We need to be willing to question and improve and live a life of character.
Finally, he asked the question, “What will you do?” We need to be intentional, respond to those around us, see others as God sees them, and be a servant leader. (Mark 10:45)
Now comes the difficult part of responding to the opportunities before us. Please pray that God will use the students and adults to lead well. Pray that the character of our lives will leave a legacy that points others to Christ. Pray that we will all make a difference for the Kingdom!
6th Grade Math Workshop scaled up the school logo on a ratio of 1 to 10.:10!
